How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
My book is not autobiographical in a storytelling format. Instead, it puts my mistakes right in front of the reader and says that you can come out stronger if you choose to grab the gift of feedback in front of and take actions to improve yourself. In a time when people are in survival mode, I will teach that taking the counter-intuitive approach now will differentiate you as opposed to trying to tuck away into corporate sameness. The ability to actually be yourself and not feel the pressure to fall inline will set you apart in the eyes of the decision-makers at any company, and provide you the confidence that you can make a difference. The approach to the book is bite-sized chapters that readers can sprint through, and know that it’s there to refer back to for reinforcement.
There are three target audience:
1) Corporate employers can use the book to invest in strengthening the employee and employer relationship into an engaged and inspired partnership to drive the business together.
2) Stagnant or disengaged employees can use the book to target their focus to re-energize themselves to become self-aware of their own accountabilities and to take action. The evolution will inspire increased success and satisfaction levels, while expediting the climb up the corporate ladder.
3) Prospective corporate employees (includes new/future graduates and unemployeed individuals) can use the book to find the competitive edge. Emphasis is placed upon effectively and quickly adapting in the professional world.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Even when there is good, there is always better. Stop being defensive to critical feedback and embrace that there are people out there who care enough to provide you feedback to make your better and stronger.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Over the past five years, I’ve thrived in the business world after an inconsistent first eighteen years to reach executive level in one of the largest financial institutions in the Unites States. Most of my success occurred in the midst of a down-turned economy. I found that my success was based on my ability to differentiate myself from my peers. My professional development became critical to teach to others for a variety of reasons. First, when I taught people how to develop themselves professionally, I found I was actually learning more. Second, I stopped competing with my peers and found we could all flourish by sharing best practices, playing to our strengths, and working on our weaknesses. There was a big enough piece of pie for everyone, if you believed it. The book is based on almost twenty years of lessons learned. The vulnerability shared was therapy for me, but becomes solid and tangible examples that the reader can grab hold of to grow.
